As per the lyrics of a certain song played by the once music group Nirvana: I don’t have a gun. Although I might support the possible constitutional right of others to bear arms, I have virtually no interest in ever shooting or killing another human being. My faith in God is perhaps a bit supernaturalist. I tend to rely mostly on God for my protection, sometimes even unto the risk of death.

Here in a big city, I imagine that it might be possible that I might someday run into certain problems in light of my not possessing any firearms. But I prefer to stand firmly in my faith in God, as well as perhaps in the good side of human nature. Whether it be because of my persuasive skills, the assistance of a police officer or a Good Samaritan, or perhaps even my own physical prowess, I expect that I will be safe enough even without a firearm in my possession.

Good luck and GOD BLESS. I have never owned a firearm and don't plan to. I do carry a knife though as I have many years experience using one as a warehouseman. I was attacked by two Black pimps and a Caucasian junkie hooker in the DTES around 15 years ago. The whore was yelling, "kill him, kill him" the neighbours of the alley must have called the cops because as one of the pimps was wrestling my screwdriver away which I had just stabbed the prostitute in the side 3 VPD vehicles showed up and the two pimps lit out of there. Fight The Good Fight.

I reply:

I no longer carry any knives at all, avoiding such knives just as much as I do firearms. I have never in my life killed anyone at all. The closest that I might have ever come to killing anyone might be when I socked a police officer in the cheek, fairly hard, on one occasion when I was off my neuroleptic medication.

The last time that I did carry a knife was about twelve years or so ago. It was in the form of a multipurpose tool that I wore in a sheath on my belt around my waist but had no practical use for. I think that I might simply have been trying to be macho. It was perhaps more like an item of “jewelry” than anything else.

I endeavor to be a pacifist, but the world is not a perfect place and neither am I. I am perhaps inspired by the fifth of the Ten Commandments, which might admonish us not to take a human life. God bless and may you find your way to God’s heaven or to Paradise.
