I do not always enjoy the way that my mother treats me, and I sometimes tire of living with her in her home. But as I can not readily afford a home or an apartment of my own within a decent and hopefully crime free environment, I seem to be stuck with her.
It saddens me at times to live with a mother whom I consider to be very different from myself. I have a possibly spiritual outlook on life and do not enjoy being the patient of any doctor, preferring instead to allow nature, or perhaps even supernature, to decide my fate with regard to whether or not I heal or simply die. You see, I do not trust doctors of medicine, often perceiving those employed as such to be charlatan fools, who seem to think that they know everything.
But I suppose that my mother alone is not entirely to blame for my being pressured to be the patient of a doctor. Sometimes the police and possibly also the community at large seem to be a factor in whether or not one must see a doctor or not. After all, certain kinds of people might shoot or at least complain about most anyone that they might see, in a worst case scenario, festering or decaying from an illness. I imagine that trips to the grocery store, for example, might draw some stares from certain healthier and possibly cleaner individuals.
Sometimes I wonder if my mother even really cares about me all that much, or else simply wants to control me. That thought might possibly annoy my mother at least a bit, if she hears that I wrote that here. She seems to not like petulance or disrespect after all. Perhaps in another reality, she could have become a police officer?
I believe that every American who aspires to true freedom should have the right to refuse most any kind of medical treat within virtually every well-adjusted community in the USA. Or are such communities so ideal that they do not truly exist anywhere at all in light of the pervasive nature of the medical establishment, possibly even worldwide?
Such power should be curbed.
I used to half heartedly ask my mother if she believes in freedom, by the way. Her answer seemed to be a flat “no”. Such is not a very good answer for what should be an American citizen, in my opinion.
Incidentally, I have decided, since last posting here, that I no longer consider myself to be politically conservative, preferring instead to be a moderate as such, with little or no bias in favor of either left wing or right wing politics. I would add, however, that even though I am also no longer a Roman Catholic, I am mostly Pro-life as might pertain to abortion issues regardless.
Am I alone in my general distrust of doctors of medicine, including those involved with the psychiatric paradigm? Please share your thoughts, if you feel so inclined. But do be careful to be contrite…the law might be watching certain of us.
