I believe we have consciousness wavelets which have a temporal
extent and a spatial extent and are ideally centred in the present
but with a "time window" extending a little into the past and a
little into the future, and that there are mental health problems
when this time window is too narrow or too wide or skewed
(not centred on the present).

Makes sense, focusing on the here and now instead of asking of past & future what if's? Is that what you are also saying?

Yes, but it is possible to be too focussed on the present, with
too narrow a time window. Unlike Eckart Tolle who I think
says always be in the present, I say be centred in the present
but with some extent into the past and the future.
