In elementary, and later at college, I had a strong notion that I have to learn everything I can
because I will need it.
I felt like I could have control over my destiny if I learn good enough.
That was in part wrong, because the system favoured people with connections, different nationalities or religions, with powerful fathers or
relatives, or the rich. In part also because I got ill.
But I have no regrets in learning any skills, especially computer and programming skills. Nowadays
they are a strategic advantage.
If I could talk to any kid (if I had children), I would tell them to learn everything they can, because the Lord
makes it worthwhile in the end. He can later use only what we know, and not what we are ignorant of.
The latter requires a miracle. And miracles require faith in miracles, which is also OK. If you have one.
Learn, learn, and only learn!

I also have no regrets about learning any of the natural sciences and/or history.
I have forgotten a lot of what I've learned, but repetition makes my mind alert and better at understanding
in refurbishing synapses that were already used to learning.
History and English make me more powerful when I discuss online, and I am not so easily dismissed.
I still get a lot of help from spelling and grammar checkers, but I am hoping to improve. I am glad that
I am not one of the guys who boast of patriotism but do not know how to spell their own language.
Learning languages has also proved as a strategic advantage.
It also helped me to know a bit about each religion in the world. This helped me to know that the guys who
believe differently are not Satans and demons.
If we are supposed to build a new world on the ashes of this one, our best bet is what we have in our heads.
Probably the Internet and the vast part of modern technology will be gone.
Most smartphones, for example, will stop functioning just 2 or 3 days after the main power grid is gone or dead. And currently, we cannot recharge phones from car batteries, even if the repetition stations had diesel backup for their operation.
in the name of the LORD
Amen
